Calibration Services for all weights are performed using the latest state-of-the-art comparators.

Calibration Services for all weights are performed using the latest state-of-the-art comparators. Our Mass Laboratory is equipped with fully automatic comparators. These automatic comparators perform multiple unattended repetitive measurements that are analyzed.

This results in small deviations and a very high level of confidence in the measured values. Each comparator is assigned to a specific range of weight, from 1kg to 100g, from 100g to 10g, and from 0,5mg to 5 g. The excellent environmental control and standard calibration procedures provide them the best conditions to work within their stated capabilities. Specially designed for INSCO Metrology, the marble tables complete the platform of our Metrology Laboratory. Due to these superior environmental controls, standard procedures, and advanced technologies, INSCO provides highly reliable calibration instrument services and solutions.

Traceability to NIST, CENAM, and PTB are maintained through three (3) E0 Super Primary Standards (SPTS) 1kg, which are certified by these agencies. Our Primary Reference Standards (PRS) are verified periodically with reference to the SPTS. This PRS is used to calibrate our working standards and to verify measuring capabilities. Thus, our calibration services assure the highest standards of measurement quality. The on-going mass inter-laboratory comparison provides periodic checks on our measurement methodologies.

In our INSCO Metrology laboratory, we have high-quality standards maintained in perfect conditions to ensure metrological traceability and we are one of the few capable of performing Echelon I calibration in the United States of America. Our facilities are equipped to perform calibrations from 1mg to 50kg for most classes from OIML E1 to M3, ASTM 0 to 7, Ultra Class, and NIST F. Our traceability comes directly from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Echelon I calibration is the highest accuracy level in mass metrology and as a result, it provides the lowest uncertainties. This calibration is used to calibrate laboratory standards due to the extra-fine accuracy level and low uncertainties. Our facility is equipped with mass comparators and high accuracy balances to be able to perform such a calibration.
